Learning the Letter "Lamed"
Nursery 1 learned the letter Lamed this past week. Lamed makes an LLL sound too! We know that Leyla, Leah and Licorice start with Lamed. Lemon also starts with the same sound! We traced our letter Lameds with Licorice. We also laced cheerios onto our Licorice to make delicious Lamed bracelets.
Our class also had fun exploring the Letter Lamed shape with fun sensory activity of shaving cream foam. We traced the letter Lamed in the cream.
Letter M
What a busy week! Nursery 1 also learned all about the letter M! We discovered that M is for Mariella, Manya, Mark and Morah Mushky! M is also for Mouse and Mezuzah. Our class tried a fruit called Mango and we also made Mouse Masks.
Our class remembered a song about Mezuzahs. Each line is sung twice. It goes like this:
I have a Mezuzah,
On my door,
and now I will tell you
What its for.
To protect us
Day and night
As you enter
Its on the right.
Spring is in the air!
Our class really enjoyed the warmer weather! Nursery 1 friends discovered that the SPRING season has finally come! In the SPRING, the trees and flowers start to bud and bloom. Bugs start to come out and it rains. Some of our friends already got their first mosquito bites! Ouch!
We read a book about a certain bug, that makes its presence in spring. It is called a caterpillar. Caterpillars eventually turn into butterflies.
We read
We also decorated our own butterflies to hang up!
Fun Fact: Did you know that both a butterfly's wings are exactly the same?
We painted and folded our butterflies so we get an identical design on each wing!
Its Playtime!
