Mothers Day!

Our friends were so excited to celebrate Mothers Day in school! Everyone worked hard on their Mothers day cards and gifts. We decorated pots and planted seedlings in each pot as a present for our moms! What a great way to show our love and appreciation for everything our moms do for us! We enjoyed decorating picture frames with our moms and we also baked delicious challah together! Thanks moms for coming!

Shavuos Preperation

Nursery 1 was very busy preparing for the Jewish holiday of Shavuos. We learned that on Shavuos, Hashem gave the Jews a special present. That present was the Torah!
We discovered that the Torah was given on a mountain called Har Sinai. Hashem chose Har Sinai because he did not brag like the other large mountains did.  Hashem made Har Sinai especially beautiful with flowers. We also planted flowers for Shavuos. Our class had so much fun decorating and pasting our Mitzvah notes from the whole year in our Mitzvah books. We also made a special cheese cake out of Tofu cream cheese!

Our World (cont...)

Nursery 1 is continuing to discover the world around us! We saw our seeds turn into plants and flowers. We also saw how our caterpillars turned from caterpillars to cacoons to butterflies! We went on a walk outside to discover our world. We saw plants, animals, water, people, sky, clouds, cars and bikes!

Letter T

Our friends learned all about the letter T. To make a T sound, we put our tongues behind our top teeth. T is for Tova Leah, train, tree, triangle and tulip! We had fun making the letter T with 2 lines. We also did a letter T exercise!

Health Month- Fruits and Vegetables!

Nursery 1 is learning all about how to keep our bodies healthy. We made a chart of healthy foods and activities and unhealthy foods.  We also made fruit smoothies with the fruit that the children brought in.  Nursery 1 had fun making vegetable faces with sliced vegetables that our friends brought to school. What a fun way to eat healthy!
