Our Community- Police (cont.)
Today, the Police came to visit our school. We learned that Police keep us safe. They walk and drive around our community to protect us. Police have different tools to help keep us safe. They have a RADIO, flashlight, stick and handcuffs! Do you know what these items are for?
Our friends also got a chance to sit in the police van and talk on the radio AND turn on the siren!
 |
| Thank you Police for keeping the community safe! |
We also read a book about safety.
Our class brought up some safety rules. They may be hard to remember so we will continue reviewing them. (Parents: please make sure to review with your children! You can't say these rules enough!)
1. We never talk to strangers
2. We dont go in the street unless we are with an adult and we follow the traffic rules
3. We stay close to the adult we are with
4. If we need help, find a policeman to help you.
5. If there is an emergency and you need help, CALL 911 from a phone!
6.We do not touch hot objects (fire, stove, oven, electric outlets etc.)
7. An adult must administer medication. We can't touch medicine by ourselves.

Our friends looked around the class to see if we could find any words that start with the letter Bais.
